Affiliate Marketing Guide

The Affiliate Marketing Guide For The New Affiliate Marketer

Affiliate marketing has fast become one of the greatest ways to make a living online.  But a vast majority of people aren't quite sure what it is or how exactly to get themselves involved in the business in the first place.  That's why this affiliate marketing guide was created.

  1. Determine what you like and what you're good at.  The first step to becoming an affiliate marketer is to decide what business you'd like to put yourself in.  What gets you up and going in the morning?  Whatever your love in life is, chances are there's an affiliate program for it and you'll be much more successful at promoting that program if you're personally passionate about it.
  2. The reason that #1 is so important is because while you can become an affiliate marketer without a website, to make the big money, you will need your own website and place information on this website.  This information is also referred to as "content" and it's your springboard to big affiliate commissions.  People will see that you're interested in your subject, read your enthusiasm in what you write and begin to trust you, thus taking your recommendations seriously.
  3. Once you have a topic idea in mind, you're next step will be to determine first if there are any potential affiliate programs that you can join related to this topic.  Many affiliates both new and seasoned, use a company called Clickbank.  Clickbank is a directory of products on various topics that you can promote and earn a commission from.  Plus, Clickbank offers some of the highest commissions through an affiliate network - quite often 50% - 75% commissions on their products.

  4. After you've researched the market and have determined that there are products you'd like to promote that are related to the niche you'd like to create an affiliate business around, your next step will be to research keywords for that niche.  While keyword research and overall website optimization is beyond the scope of this affiliate marketing guide, suffice it to say that you'll want to research words and phrases related to the niche you'll be promoting.  The more searches there are, the more traffic you can potentially get for that word or phrase.  Keyword research however, is a two-sided coin, lots of searches on a word or phrase, also called a keyword, also means more competition so try to stick with keywords that may be searched on less but still offer lots of potential.

  5. Next, you'll want to register a domain name specifically for the niche you'll be creating.  If possible, get a domain name that does have a keyword related to your overall niche site's content.
  6. Next, you'll want to create content to place on your site incorporating the keywords you have chosen from your keyword research.
  7. After your content is created you can then link to the affiliate product you've chosen within the content.  Consider creating a page that offers reviews of one or more products to give folks a choice on a product while still earning a commission from each and every one of them.

While these seven steps have outlined the very basic information you need to know when you're first starting out in affiliate marketing, there is a whole lot more that does go into becoming a successful affiliate marketer or even a super affiliate.

To help you with this, there is a brand new product on the market that will walk you through, step-by-step, how to create your own niche market, find products that you can make an income from and then start earning that income.  It's called the AffilioBlueprint and it will teach you how to make a living through affiliate programs.
