When you’re trying to find money making opportunities, there’s no easier place than online with affiliate programs. You don’t have to worry about creating your own product and supporting that product but rather just connect buyers and sellers together.

While there are many affiliate programs available for someone who is looking for money making opportunities, the quickest and easiest way to start making money online is to look to a well known online marketplace called Clickbank which let’s you sign up as an affiliate for free and then gives you the opportunity to choose to promote from thousands of different products in a variety of niches.

The first thing that you need to do before you simply start promoting a product is to find a niche that you are personally interested in.

This is especially helpful because you can likely speak to the topic with an authority that many others don’t have and it will be easier for you to create content on your website about that topic.

Once you’ve chosen a niche your next step would be to visit Clickbank and then take a look around for products that you could promote that are related to that niche. You can sort each of these products by popularity, how much they pay in commissions or gravity.

Gravity within the Clickbank marketplace is a measure of how many affiliates are making sales of a particular product.

For instance, if a product has a gravity of 100 this means that approximately 100 affiliates have made a sale of that product within the last week.

This will then give you an indication of whether or not the product can be a true money making opportunity for you and your potential business.

Next, you’ll need to register a domain name that has the name of this niche contained within it. For example, if you’re looking to promote a dog training product, then you could use lots of different variations on the term of “dog”. Puppy training, large dog training. leash dog training, dog potty training, etc.

You don’t have to restrict yourself to just simply “dog training”.

Once you have a domain picked out and registered you’ll want to find a place to host your website. There are quite a few good hosting companies that are very affordable and when you’re first starting out online with your money making opportunities, you’ll want to keep your costs at a minimum.

I suggest either Host Gator or NameCheap.com. Both of which have excellent and affordable hosting packages.

Finally, you’ll need to market those money making opportunities you’ve chosen for yourself. If no one knows you’re there, you won’t make very much money. Luckily this can be done in a variety of ways as well.

If you do have some money to work with, you might consider PPC (pay per click) marketing. This will help you start earning an income right away and if you do decide to go this route I suggest reading up on the topic prior to beginning as it can get expensive quickly.

You can also try some free methods of getting traffic such as article marketing where you write articles and submit them to various well-known article directories.

Additionally, you can also promote your money making opportunities by creating what’s called a “lens” at Squidoo or a page at Hubpages.

Also, you can also try free classified advertising and posting at forums that are related to the money making opportunity you’ve chosen. Post information at forums that actually is helpful and remember to add the link to your website in your signature so that people know where they can go for more information.

Even though this sounds like a lot of information to take in; especially if you’re new to affiliate marketing and money making opportunities online, once you go through the process once, it will start to become second nature when you are ready to build your second, third, fourth or even tenth website.

The right kind of article spinner can save you a world of time; especially if you’re just starting out online or have a tight budget that you’re working with.

If you work alone or are just starting out making money online either as an affiliate or even by creating your own product, you have learned that writing and submitting articles is one of the better ways to get free traffic to your website.

And this is a good way to start getting traffic, but it’s very time consuming and it might be difficult for a one-man or one-woman operation to simply write all of those articles in the first place.

And even though they may have all the knowledge in the world about the topic they want to create a website around, it will still take a whole lot of time to write lots of unique content for that website.

That’s where an article spinner comes into play.  It will take an original article that you have written and “spin” it so that in the end you have a unique article that still gets across the same message as in the first article you wrote.

Now it’s important that you choose the right kind of article spinner. Not all article spinners are created equal.

Some of them require a lot of initial work up front that you have to do yourself.  Let’s take an example.  Let’s say that you had a website about growing tomatoes.  You have written an article for your site about the best way to grow tomatoes.  So let’s take a pretend sentence for this article:

“Growing tomatoes is very easy once you understand the types of nutrients that must be contained within the soil.”

Some article spinner programs will require you to actually go in and change some words yourself so that the program can spin the article for you.

This means that you’d have to go into the article spinner program and manually change each of the words so that when the article was spun it would contain words that not only made sense but that was also unique.

If you have to go in and change the words manually, you may as well just sit down and write a bunch of unique articles.  Right?

To me at least, a really good article spinner program is one that literally will do all of the work for you.

The main trouble merchants have with affiliate marketer payments is that they’ve got to originate payments manually based on a commission report that would typically be generated by their own e-store software. If affiliate payments hit hundreds or thousands, this process can get very tedious.

Luckily, Paypal has derived a solution to the merchant’s problem. It’s called Mass Pay. Simply put, Mass Pay is a solution from PayPal that helps automate affiliate payments. Instead of being forced to manually enter the associate amounts into the payment system; their e-store software generates a Mass Pay file that contains the details of the payments to be made.

This is a blessing to affiliate marketers and greatly cuts the problems associated with accepting payments from merchants. Paypal is the generally recognized way to receive payments from merchants that you have affiliate marketing arrangements with.

Paypal makes getting payments from individuals easier, as well. Having a Paypal button on your website is a real boon to you. It makes it simple and easy for customers to pay for their purchases and is so well recognized that people feel very safe using it.

Paypal allows you to set up a business account. It’s a very simple process. The only thing you’re required to do is furnish information that allows Paypal to verify who you are and that your bank accounts are valid. Proof of a valid credit card is also a requirement. When you have a Paypal business account you can accept credit card payments, as well.

You can buy software that will incorporate with Paypal to help track your affiliate marketing sales and know what your commission is easily and rapidly. There are several such software products on the market. You can easily find them by using your favorite search engine.

According to The World’s Glossary of Internet Terms, “Affiliate Marketer is defined as: “A business relationship with a merchant or other service provider who allows you to link to that business. When a visitor clicks on the link at your site and later makes a purchase from the merchant, you get a commission based on the amount of the sale, a referral fee or a pay-for-click fee.”

This is a simple, straight-forward arrangement between a merchant and an affiliate. Budding affiliate marketers encounter a problem when they try to inverse the success process. Instead of starting at the beginning, they try to start at the end.

Making profit is the end of the process. The beginning of the process is training and there are several steps in between. Too many people, who are just getting started in affiliate marketing, fail to take the steps necessary to get to the end of the process and actually make money.

Step #1: Educate yourself. This is the key, opening the door of opportunity. It’s also the basic thread connecting successful affiliate marketers. Education lays the cornerstone – the building blocks to success. Start by gathering the most effective information you can find about affiliate marketing and absorbing it.

Step #2: Turn that information into useable knowledge. Even the best information remains rather worthless, however, until after you discover how to use it – how to make it serve your purpose.

Step #3: Start using the knowledge … take action …start constructing your affiliate business. Will you make mistakes, even though you’ve invested all that time educating yourself? Yes, you most likely will make mistakes but it’s all part of the learning process.

Step #4: Test and fine-tune, test and fine-tune. This one never ends. And it’s often the dividing line between succeeding and failing. Attention to small details often returns big rewards.

Following these steps will define you as a successful affiliate marketer.

Auto responders automate the process of following up e-mail marketing leads.
